What's For Lunch - 11/08

I have a feeling that my son's monthly school lunch menu won't be providing us with laughs for much longer. Three months into the school year and it seems they've pretty much exhausted their entire lineup of meals to serve. But...there are a couple of strange and funny items on the November schedule:

• Fish Shape w/Dinner Roll My question: Is it fish shaped like something or is it something shaped like fish!?
• Cook's Choice is Hot Dog on Bun Wow Chef! Did you stay up all night coming up with that one? A+ for originality! Wait...on a bun!? Did you see that on Food Network or something!?

What's For Lunch? 9/08

Here's a new feature I hope to repeat at WWoB, it's called What's For Lunch? Each month, the school district sends home the cafeteria menu for the next couple of weeks. Sometimes there are some strange sounding items available on the menu and sometimes I have no idea what the item even is! So here we're going to share some of the unusual, funny sounding, and mysterious food items that the kids in my neighborhood eat for lunch everyday.

• Mustang Sub
• California Blend
• Bosco Sticks w/sauce (you don't want to eat your Bosco Stick plain, do you?)
• Winter Mix

And...on September 10 you can have a Johnnie Rib Sandwich or on the 22nd you could dine on a Johnnie Rib on Roll. Either way, I'm sure it's good!
